Thanks for sharing, this pattern is really lovely for a scarf ❤ I finished it off with just a slip stitch row as my final row, and then added a slip stitch row to the beginning, as I think it made the edges look more similar and tidy :)

So confusing because so many other people teach to do even row for the starting chain. I'm going to go with this one and see how it goes :-). And an update. I love this version so much. I also like a solid foundation chain. I've been wanting to use this stitch and every time I've gone to learn it, I get confused but this is definitely going to work. Awesome tutorial. Thank you!

Chain 1 ; slip stich into the 1st "V" of the 1st set -NEXT ROW- [4:00] Chain 2 , dc 2 into that space from the slip stitch SKIP THE NEXT 3, then do 3 dc's into the "chain 1" space. Chain 1, 3 more dc into the same space [s1] SKIP THE NEXT 3, then do 3 dc's into the "chain 1" space. Chain 1, 3 more dc into the same space [s2] SKIP THE NEXT 3, then do 3 dc's into the "chain 1" space. Chain 1, 3 more dc into the same space [s3] [s4] u should be back at the start. 3 dc into that first big hole [6:53]. Chain 1 , then slip stitch on top of the hole. you should have a proper sqaure. -NEXT ROW- Chain 2 , 2dc {3 dc into side gap 3 dc , chain 1, 3 dc into corner gap } repeat 2x, [10:33]

I was so frustrated because I've been redoing the whole thing over and over again. The stitches kept getting tighter each time and it's always around the 7th to 12th stitch that it got almost impossible for the hook to pass through and I was so tempted to give up. I'm glad that your video appeared in the right time and finally I have more progress. Thank you so much this video has been really helpful!
